We all do what we do for a reason. Some of us know it from our core, and others are just going with the flow of what society deems successful. Let’s explore how to live a life with intention to stay healthy in long run!
Live a life with intention
That everything I do, is for a reason. What gets you out of bed in the morning? Most people don’t know. I asked a few people I know a while back, and the answers were not too promising. They either said they get out of bed because they have to go to work, or their kids wake them up.
Me? Right now, honestly, the biggest reason is that I gotta pee. This baby is growing and kicking my bladder all night long. The other, real reason is getting my meditation in before my family wakes up. I am a much calmer human, and mother after I meditate. It makes the day go smoother, and I find it easier to be present with my child.
Find a like minded community
Since I got pregnant with #2 I’ve been craving a community of like-minded people. I realized that there is a lot of negativity, overwhelm, and ‘wine culture’ involved in the motherhood arena. I’ve been there too, especially as a first-time mother in a peak pandemic situation. And I got tired of it.
In order to attract the kind of people I want to be around, I realized I need to be the kind of person that will attract those people. That I need to draw a clear line of what I’m seeking to attract into my life.
This is why I am changing my mindset and working on conscious positive parenting. Kids are so pure and have a clean slate. What if I taught my children all the tools that I have learned about how to manage my energy and my mindset? They won’t have to go searching feeling lost as I have. When I imagine what kind of grounded adults they will become, I am so excited for their future. Giving them a life with intention is of utmost importance.
Make health a priority
I do what I do to help people feel good in their minds and bodies. We only get one this lifetime. It’s such a waste to live life feeling horrible in it.
The mind-body connection is real and important. Meditating and eating junk all day won’t make you feel good. Eating a perfectly healthy diet but having so many negative thoughts and confidence issues won’t make you feel good either.
We must fuel our minds with positivity & fuel our cells with optimal nutrition
I recently read an article that said since last year the risk of diabetics has increased. The biggest reasons include less movement, less outdoor time, and eating more snacks. People are spending more time on their screens, and less time connecting with nature, themselves, and others.
When you don’t feel good in your body, it’s incredibly hard to think positively. I remember one of my yoga teachers saying that the pain and discomfort we feel in our bodies, is what our bodies are going through. It doesn’t affect who we are at the core. It’s much easier said than done. When the body doesn’t feel like a comfortable place to live, our minds easily slip into low vibrations.
Prepare yourself for the holiday season
The holidays are coming up, and as much as it’s a very exciting time of year.. I believe it’s one of the easiest times of year for your health to slip off. We get into the ‘ohhhh I’ll make it my New Year’s resolution, so I’m gonna ‘cut myself some slack’ until then’ mood. I find December to be one of the busiest times of the year, and this year I will be SUPER busy running on a newborn’s schedule. Dealing with busy with a lack of self-care routines is a recipe for overwhelm.
This is the perfect time to start creating new healthy habits that will fuel your cells, and carry you through the new year. I love to take these. If you’d like a customized health plan based on your unique health goals, I would love to help you out. Fill out our form.
