As I was going through the Sivananda Upanishad, I realized the concept of the Emmett’s Law is written in one of the messages from the great sage.
Emmett’s Law: The dread of doing a task takes more time and energy than doing the task itself.
Swami Sivananda mentions he works quickly to complete the task on hand. It makes sense to complete a task while the passion is there.
I realize this, but I admit there’s more times than I can count that tamas takes over.
Definitely need to work on myself.
The Sivananda Upanishads are a collection of notes written in a easy to understand manner. The problem is, I have a very hard time figuring out how to read his handwriting. I do get a zap of a dopamine hit in my brain when I do figure out his words.
I’ll attach a pic for your reading pleasure:
AHHH!!! My heart!!
After reading this, I decided I shall continue to my work with kindness, service, respect and love.
What is one thing you want to keep in mind while doing your work? Leave a comment! I’d love to hear from you.
You can get your own copy of the Sivananda Upanishads at your local Sivananda Center and Ashrams. At this time it is not sold on Amazon or other major places to buy books.
