When you’re scrolling through social media checking out everybody’s self-care routine, it starts to feel like you need big bucks to practice self-care. It doesn’t have to be like that. Self-care can and should be a simple process. Don’t stress over self-care. Here’s 3 things you can do without spending any cash.
Take a walk in nature
Getting some fresh outside air is always nice. Try going for a walk without any sounds playing in your ears. Yep, that’s no music and no podcasts. Listen to the sounds of nature as you walk. If you need something to focus on, focus on your breathe. Make it a walking meditation.
Journal 10 things you are grateful for
Showing the universe your gratitude attracts more of it. Write down 10 things you are grateful for. This can be people, events, or anything you’re happy that exists in your life. If you want to take it a step further, write down 10 things you want to forgive and/or let go. Do it on a full moon for extra magic.
Sleep without an alarm clock
I no longer sleep with an alarm clock on because I have a tiny human alarm clock that wakes me up multiple times a night and early mornings. If you don’t have a tiny human or furry alarm clocks, don’t set one at least once a week. I want to say every day but we all have life, responsibilities and bills to pay. Learn to say no and clear out your calendar. If you need help doing that, check out this guide I put together. It’ll help you create more blank space for the things that truly matter.
Oh yes, and the guide I was talking about, is free. So we’re still on topic of self-care without spending any money. What are some of your favorite self-care practices to do for free? Feel free to leave a comment to let me know.
