The forth teachings in the yamas is Aparigraha – Non-possessiveness, to not be jealous of others.
Not coping what others are doing. Listen to your own body, feel your body, and maintain a posture that you are able to perform. Do the work you need to do today. Don’t hold onto anything you do not need. Letting go creates new space for something new.
If you have so much stuff in your house that you can’t swing open your front door fully, you probably don’t want to go home. Taking home too many things just because it was free, and not having anywhere to store it. Being stubborn and not forgiving someone. That negative energy will do more harm than good for yourself. Only being focused on the results, and not enjoying the journey. These are things that feel dull, and heavy, just by thinking about it.
There’s probably something you can let go of in your life to feel lighter. It could be a really small thing. Take out one thing you don’t need from your life anymore. It could be something small as a broken umbrella, coupons that are expired or a pair of shoes that don’t fit well. After you removed that item from your life, focus on how it makes you feel.
